HMM.

So far so good, 'O' Levels aren't so hard after all the tedious preparation that the school has put us through. BUT, I have come to reflect upon a major decision that will affect my life:

THAT IS, TO GO POLYTECHNIC OR JUNIOR COLLEGE? (or quit school and look after my grandmother in case she give birth)

It is a very sensitive subject but let's lay them out and analyse the pros and cons:

FIRST, let's begin with polytechnic.

Obviously, the first benefit is that of an EASIER L1R5 to hit to enter but let's skip that and let's talk about SPACE. Polytechnics tend to be big ass whopping big and that's not just the buildings itself (actually the biggest and the nicest is still ITE SIMEI *drools*) but also the population.

WITH more people you can widen your social circle until it's bigger than the milky way, plus you get to dress up the way you want to, dye your hair and play DotA/CS or okay fine, battleon if you insist, in school (laptop).

In addition, you get to taste the hands-on job for the future career you want to embark on (but of course, that is if you know what you want to do already) so you'll be filled with much more experience than JC people (in terms of real life working).

Of course, the bad side of this paradise pathway is that of the longer year courses (3 years compared to Jc's 2 years) but that can be countered by getting into the top 10% of the exams (I think) to get into the 2nd year of university which means in order to balance out the time taken to finish your education with your JC friends you have to work hard and play hard also!

It's all about balancing.

Let's move on to JC.

First off, when you tell people you're in so and so JC the employers tend to have a better perception of you compared to when you tell the employers you come from so and so poly, but that is not the case if both you and your poly friends go to university lah.

Second pros for of going to JC is of course the length, 2 years of whacking your brain with irrelevant subjects that hs nothing to do with your career (well, that is in my case. I mean, who the hell uses Chemistry for DJ-ing?).

I believe many of us here taking the big Os have this dilemma. SOME. Some already made up their mind to get married after their Os (hint hint!).

Maybe I'll consider going poly :)

------------------------------------------

Friday was the last day of school for Secondary 1 to 3 and it is definitely significant for the Sec 2s and the Sec 4s. The former will be splitting with their class while the latter will not see the other levels in school uniform (emphasis!) until probably in February when we get our O level results.

Haha. If questioned whether I am emo over that fact and that whether I will miss my Sec 4 class the answer is no. Come on, we haven't die right? Sure, we'll be further apart compared to currently but still we have each other on MSN what!

PS: The following please add me on msn thanks!
