Talk about the feeling of speaking up in front of around 800 people. It ain't as easy as O' Levels.

But I had to. No choice, already chosen, so my fate was pretty much sealed.

I had to lead the school for the warm up today, for Family Day, and it was pretty much a failure.

Reasons?

Either the atmosphere was too dead/noisy or the PA system screwed up.

I tried my best okay, I tried, to keep the atmosphere up and liven the crowd. But they kept talking.

So while I was just on the first paragraph of my little speech, Mr Singh shot a sentence that seemed like a hard, cold, bullet, "What your saying has no link anymore, just carry on with the work out."

My world crashed I tell you, so I rushed the work out like as if I was on a bullet train.

Here's the planned speech that I have entirely on my mind (I did not write it down) which I worked on it for 3 days, feeling the stress everytime I try to imagine myself saying this to the whole school (it's not easy):

Hi, hi, mic test, mic test.

Err, hello. I would like to thank my father and my mother for bringing me up so that I can get this award, (blank expression and stretches out palm, and looks at it).

Oops, my bad. Wrong script.

Hello and a very good morning to you lovely people! (cheery tone)

First of all, I would like to say that I appreciate that you guys are participating in this school event on this particular Saturday morning, even though it is compulsory.

As you can see, the school is very concerned about your personal safety and that is why we are here to ensure that you do not get any armpit cramps, groin cramps or butt cramps during your "strainous exercise" (lift up hands and do that open close inverted thing).

Okay but first, let me introduce ourselves. I'm Leon, and beside me there is this adorable guy named Shafie, and if you want his number you can approach me after this, and behind me is this bunch of handsome young men that is bustling with energy.

And I have a small little request to ask from you all. You know, it's pretty scary to stand in front of 800 pairs of eyes and talk so I'd like everyone to smile because you know, I'm pretty scared and insecure (sarcastic tone). And I'd like everyone to participate in this work out. Don't think it's lame, because who knows, while running you might have an ankle sprain and you really go home LAME. (emphasis on the word LAME)

Okay so let's begin...

(insert all the exercises here)

Okay, and that's all for the warm up, thank you for your co-operation and I'd like to say that you guys are the best people I have ever spoke to, peace out people! (do a peace out sign)

Oh oh oh, and my blog is leon-.blogspot.com!

Oh well. Does my speech has any link? You be the judge.

Things that I didn't do:
- I didn't manage to get the crowd's attention.
- I didn't to finish my speech properly.
- I didn't advertise my blog at the end.

Things that are good:
- More confidence in speaking up in public.

Few pictures during the event:

Melson and Justin. What loving brothers! Melson is actually removing fleas from Justin's hair! (you can tell that I'm kidding, right? :D)

Meet Wan Fong the biggest piece of female muscle in the school.

And look it's Wei Jie. He looks like a dragon, and that's a good thing. Dragon is a sacred creature in Chinese Mythology, yipee! :D

That's Aunty Striddy and Uncle Leon. She came from the planet Piggar, her species is Space Pig. She eats jelly beans all day and never fail to NOT take a decent picture, but it's okay, I like retarded pictures! :D

And that's me and Elyssa, one of the hottest Malay in school (the other one is Hafiz, damn, he's so hot, he could melt Jupiter). I apologize for my lousy phototaking skills whereby I mercilessly split Clayton face into half ):

Okay, there was the inter-CCA relay which I did not took part in.

Here's some pictures to share:

The start of the first race.

That's Lemuel the girls-see-already-turn-their-head-360-degrees-as-he-walk-past guy.

That's Ian the in-my-opinion-he's-very-handsome-and-is-damn-good-at-talking dude (the one behind)

That's Jamie the Bamboo, who will be shipped off to China to feed the pandas that are on the verge of extinction (the one behind)

That's Keng Lai (affectionately known as Ah Lai) the adorable lovely dude, who plays basketballs so good, you think his balls are.. nevermind.

That's Rui Wen, whom I think is a very fast runner. Either that, or she eats steroids. (gasp!)

My junior. Sharzani, handsome dude!

This is Boon May. She is very special. We have our own little secret (insert evil laugh here).

This is Timothy. I have no idea why the photo made him look like he have exaggerated broad shoulders, but Cheryl should be more glad :P

This is Luqman, another hot malay in our school. He got injured pretty badly after a trip over the very sharp curb (which he landed on the edge on the stomach, if I'm not wrong). I hope he is perfectly alright. God bless (insert hearts here).

This is my friend, Imee. In my opinion, she runs faster than you can cook instant maggi mee.

This is Melson, more affectionately known as Melon, more childish-ly known as Mel Mel Bear. Don't think that just because he is a bear, he runs very slow. No. He runs faster than the birds (that) can fly at the speed of sound.

This is Biondi. He's on steroids too!

This is Justin Kang, who thought that the finishing line was a few metres before the real finishing line so he did a mini victory dance (okay, not really a dance) :P, and everyone started saying, "OI, JUSTIN, YOU HAVEN'T FINISH THE RACE, LAH!".

Embarassing moment for Mr. Kang (not the father).

Oh well. There's nothing much to talk about today's event already other than me participating in the telematch and won 1st (okay, somehow or rather :D)

Got this picture from Amirul's blog. We had to play a few mini games which was err, pretty childish but it's family fun :)

Okay. After the whole event, we went to LAN (I know, that's sooooo no life) and that's pretty much about it. (PS: I love witch doctor!)

And this is an emo picture taken by me. Just practicing around, you know.

And I can make Justin taller :D

Peace out people :)
