I just came back from church.

Today's sermon is wohoho, powerful. Ee Sheen and Zhen Yuan got saved. Yup.

*Applause!*

And making our way to dinner at Plaza Singapura I saw the next America Next Top Model *cough*.

Fang Ning should be full of envy when looking at this picture:

WOW. Did I just say the American Next Top Monster?

She can be Stickwoman!

Warning to Cherie: Better eat more before you get these legs! They are freaky!

I know, I can see the anorexics and bullimic and other figure conscious females preparing darts to throw at me already. Relax and chill out people! Her legs are too skinny to be pretty, serious!

Anyway, my butt cheeks hurt, when sitting down. Some mosquito somehow got into my pants (sneaky little fellow) and bit my butt! Ouch.

Okay. The rest of this entry is about DotA.

So gamers strap tight.

I'm going to discuss about 2 different items today.

Power Threads
-65 Movement Speed
- +35% Increased Attack Speed
- Gold cost: 1030 (without Boots of Speed itself)

VS

Hand of Midas
- 30% Increased Attack Speed
- Ability to Convert Creeps into Gold
- Gold Cost: 2010

Some say Power Threads are better than Hand of Midas, and I'm going to prove them wrong.

Now, let's discuss the gold difference, which is 980 gold, according to my lovely calculator.

From my single player testing, I have concluded that each converted creep (Hand of Midas) will bring back around 160 to 170 gold for the user.

According to this statistic, it will cover up the different cost by using it 6 times. Which is about 600 seconds (10 minutes) of purely using Hand of Midas (that means excluding normal last hit kills on creeps).

After clearing the different cost, the Hand of Midas will generate money periodically and if a graph is drawn, it will be shown slanting upwards.

Now, let's compare the difference between the attack speed of Hand of Midas and Power Threads.

It is a merely 5%. Now, don't you come telling me 5% means a lot, because that's pretty fake.

I did a little single player test with a Level 2 Naga, with 53-55 damage per hit, on a 550 HP Creep.

Time to Kill with Power Threads: 11.9 seconds
Time to Kill with Hand of Midas: 12.2 seconds

See the puny 0.3 seconds you are gaining while you sacrifice the idea of getting the best early game income item?

If you buy Hand of Midas, you get the chance to upgrade your boots to a Boot of Travel, which is gives more movement speed and even the ability to teleport, which is very beneficial in lane pushing!

Therefore, conclusion:

Midas owns!

Argue. :)

Till then,
Leon Hydroxide! :D
