A saturday morning awoken by a little murmur from a highly suspicious home thief, the maid. Reluctant to get out of the cosy bed, I told my platoonmate Keng Lai that I wouldn't be going to take the Secondary Two juniors that day. I awoke nearly two hours later from my deep slumber to attend my first Church Video Crew training. The training was given by Sister Evelyn, a woman of God full of life and cheer. However, the training had to end abruptly because Sister Evelyn had a really painful stomach ache. Bless her.
When I went to the church cafe to get a 600ml can of Heaven and Earth Green Tea to soothe the scorching heat in my throat, it was to my horror to find that I have no money at all in the wallet! Impossible! I still remember vividly that there was a fresh red, purple and green note in my wallet! How could it vanish in a night? This brought my suspicion to the maid who went into my room that particular morning to wake me up. Anyway, met up with Gavin and Jasper later to let them have a feel of what our Church Service is like.
A little sprinting competition from Dhouby Ghaut MRT Station to Heart of God Church started when we realised that we were kind of late. Luckily we managed to reach the church before the service started. Service was good, and it left a good impression for Jasper (rock on!).
However, the Early Warning System concert late in the evening was an utter disappointment. I thought that this band that I have never heard before will produce some good music. I was wrong, dead wrong. What this band did was to combine metal with praise! Ridiculous! Both genres don't blend well and what made the concert even worse was the overpowered crashing of the drummer which made my eardrums experience a magnitude 9.0 earthquake. A drooping headache was the after effect.
I know, I shouldn't be criticizing and complaining that much because after all, they were kinda new and there are some improvements they can make but what I really blamed myself for is to hold Gavin and Jasper back for the concert because I myself personally find it a waste of time. Our cell had so many new people. Gavin, Jasper, Jocelyn and Shi Chiang! I would like to show my appreciation for the cooperation me and Jennifer had in trying to get Gavin and Jasper to church. Time for some evangelistic showdown, I guess.
Ate out late with Gavin at Mcdonalds and I went dead broke. 5 cents in my EZ Link and no money at all in my wallet. Had to borrow from Gabriel (thanks!) to make my way home. Waited for the girls to finish their building management before going home with them. What made me glad was that Jasper was impressed by the church! God bless.
Next up on the list is Sunday, a day filled with more pictures and less lengthy bombastic words that I'm trying to put in for God knows what reason. Today is coincidently the day for the World Cup Finals! Therefore with my great persuasion I managed to get Daddy to let me stay over at church with my church mates to watch soccer.
Anyway, went to church in the evening as the sun retired in the crimson light to attend Gabriel's Birthday Celebration. Lots of thanks goes to Jennifer and Fang Lynn for that hours and hours of present wrapping. Tiring, I know, but great job nonetheless. Thanks to all the people that made Gabriel enjoyed a nice birthday (belated) celebration and more thanks to those that made the Twist Lick Dunk Oreo Video! :D

Justin so macho! He's carrying a turtle!After all the photo frenzy we went to Ben & Jerry to eat some ice cream. The interior design of Cathay's Ben & Jerry is superb, so beautiful and sleek. I would certainly want my future home to be as beautiful as that! However, beautiful things last for a very short while as we soon made our way out of the newly furnished Cathay Cineplex to Dhouby Ghaut to fetch Melson.
When we arrived at church, Melson and Fang Lynn kept playing this Xbox game named Kung Fu Chaos. Fang Lynn claimed that it was addictive, and she's darn right. Soon, some of our team DotA players (Melson, Jennifer, Justin, Danny, Kenneth) wanted to play DotA. So we went all the way to Speedy LAN shop which is located near Hotel Rendezvous and I got horribly trashed outside in, inside out, left right up down all around! Oh well, shouldn't elaborate much about the game details so that the non DotA readers won't feel left out yeah (:
Soon, the Italy VS France match began and we watched it in the Church auditorium. I can hardly believe what Zidane did. It was too shocking. Perhaps it was just a moment of folly or an attempt to create history before his retirement. Who knows? If he stayed on the game , France might probably win (I'm a France fan). Oh well, the match ended at four am plus and my spirits was kinda low because of the defeat.
Later on Me, Melson, Jennifer, Fang Lynn, Sabrina and Justin went to Fang Lynn's house to bathe and her mum was so nice. She made muffins for us! Also, I was filled with envy because Fang Lynn have her breakfast send in to her room everyday (but she have no time to eat it >_<). Anyway, took a picture with Leon the Lion :D
