Poof! Today Youth Day started out with a 7:15 am early morning call. Rushed all the way from house to National Stadium and I happened to find 28 hairy caterpillars on the way there. Met up with my connect group and went for the Fire Conference. Honestly speaking, the sermon is good but because of the early timing and the lack of sleep, fatigue dominated my mind as I struggled to keep myself conscious. By the way, the bad thing about the conference is the songs! They were supposed to be worship songs but then it had a blend of worship plus praise. Certainly doesn't fit the atmosphere. And the conference ended with laying of hands from the preacher. For those that have no idea what I'm talking about, I sincerely apologize because this is talking about my religion, Christianity. Some pictures coming up.![]() ![]() What struck me is that my old church, Cornerstone Community Church was also present. Saw lots of old people like Kian Hao, Rachel, Nigel, Jia Jian, Valerie and Rosanne (or Rowena, can't differentiate). To tell you the truth I sort of miss my old church's powerful presence of God and the strong annointing but since I'm in Heart of God now, I shall not whine and start growing in ministries! Went to Cineleisure with my cell group for lunch later on and I present to you Mong the Nerd (no offense)! ![]() ![]() Later on, our connect group met up with Koon Yew's cell group and Roseline's cell group and I was introduced to some people whom I can still remember their names: Esther the Violent, Liang Hui the quiet, Roseline the Responsible, Elline (is it spelt like this?) the Dimple, Nicholas the ? and Tiffanny the Quiet. Went to Long John Silver for lunch as Fang Lynn and Roderick agreed with me that we should go to the SYF band competition late :D ![]() ![]() We were darn right that we should go SYF band competition late because we still waited for like 2 hours for the Display Band Competition. Before the competition there were some parardes and stuff. More pictures and also thanks to Terrence (I think that's his name) for treating the landers chilled Coca-Cola on a absolutely steaming hot day. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally after 2 hour of boring wait, I took out my bible and started to read Acts but when I finished 2 chapters the stupid Display Band Competition finally started so I have no choice but to keep my bible. The morale of the story is, next time when you know you gonna wait very long, take out the bible! (no offense to non-christians). More pictures again! ![]() ![]() ![]() TK Band won but I really felt quite bad because whenever the other schools were performing their band our people sort of like jeered at them but when our school was performing they kept quiet. Oh well, the victory of TK Band spells half day holiday for us. However, the sly principal of TKSS will probably let the half day happen on Friday, which is actually a half day already. Bleh. ![]() ![]() After the SYF Band Competition was over, I rushed through the sea of Primary School kiddies to meet up with Melson and we sprinted to Kallang KFC because we knew that it will be overwhelmed by the large number of people going there. Talking about "kia-su", lol. At first there wasn't any seats despite we sprinting there but luckily Gavin and his friends were there and they helped us reserve some seats (thanks!). Having ate our dinner, Melson, Cori, Biondi, Gavin, Yexi and Me decided to go to Suntec to walk walk because the night is still young and also thanks to Gavin for making us miss the bus 16 HEHE. So after we reached Suntec, we head towards the entertainment centre while Yexi is filling me with information about Rome Total War. When we finally reached the entertainment centre, we saw a big crowd watching this player playing Time Crisis 4. He was damn professional I tell ya, and Melson exclaimed, "He must have trained at home before coming to the arcade." Later on, we sort of like "pang seh" Cori and we went to eat at the hawker centre (eat again! what gluttony!) and went straight home. Pictures! ![]() ![]() ![]() I would like to thank Biondi for listen to our constant whining (I know it's hard on ya) and also Gabriel who have enlightened me and made the muddy waters clear or else I would still deluged by question marks. Also, I would like to show my honest appreciation for all who read my blog because it is you that cares about other people's life! Rock on! I would like to end with a notice saying that I have embarked on a project of self improvement named [IMP ALL 314D]. Thank you and have a nice day. ![]()
