hello readers. didn't had time to blog when i just returned from tiomann as i had to prepare for my National Cadet Corps camp. tiomann is a seriously beautiful island. I went there with some project mates for an educational trip there. for those tourists that are looking for a place to relax and chill from the noise and bustle in the city, tiomann is definitely a choice. it's clear waters and captivating rainforests will amaze you. on the first day, we had to do filming (making a documentary) and stuff while we treked through a little short nature trail in the rainforest. after that was some talks and stuff (ya know, those boring lectures) and then it was sleeping time (poof! that was fast). sleeping times are the best time of this trip actually. the accomodation there is so nice and it's so "green". second day. did even more filming while we trek through a secondary forest to a primary forest. saw lots of exotic animals that cannot be found in this modern concrete jungle, things like mushrooms that has a veil growing on it, fruits growing out of stems, HUGE termite nests, mega big rock boulders, humongous spiders and even anglehead lizards (those lizards that looks like dinosaurs). third day, we had sort of like a "free and easy" day but it wasn't actually that because we still had to film additional stuff to add "meat" to our documentary. at night, we had this night walk in the jungle where we saw flying squirrels (fly, Sab!) and water snakes. and then we had this pathethic campfire where we roasted marshmallows lol. the electric wires from the power generator of the resort were being roasted at the same time (i mean burn!). went to the beach after that. i find the beach as a fascinating place. the beach holds many feelings, the feelings of happiness, sorrow and helplessness. the last day of stay in tiomann came in a blink of an eye and my heart sank as I boarded the damned ferry and coach back to Singapore. such a nice place, such little time, such experiences, such agony, such happiness, such a place that holds many, many, many memories.![]()
